Golden-haired goddess
 
Sif, Thor’s wife, is most known for her beautiful hair and for a tale wherein it is cut off by Loki while she slept. In a rage, Thor forced Loki to find a way to make amends for what he had done. Loki’s solution was to convince the sons of Ivaldi (dwarven smiths) to create a full head of magical, ever-growing hair for Sif spun from pure gold. This they did, thus saving Loki once again from Thor’s wrath.
