Guardian of Mead of Poetry
 
Suttungr's daughter, Gunnlöd, led a lonely existence. She was forced to spend her days in a dark cavern at the center of a mountain protecting her father's mead. One day, a mysterious man with a twinkle in his eye found a way into the mountain and seduced her. She allows this dashing gentleman to take three sips of her father's mead, but so vast were his sips that he drained every last drop before disappearing as mysteriously as he had arrived. The stranger who stole the mead was Oðin.
