The golden bristled boar
 
A magical boar created by the dwarven smiths, Brokkr and Eitri, Gullinbursti means “golden bristles.” It was a gift to Freyr by the dwarves as part of a contest devised by Loki to determine the best of the dwarven smiths (as well as to make amends for having cut off Thor’s wife’s hair). Gullinbursti never tires - running on land, water or air with ease - and his mane glows so brightly that Freyr can find his way even in the darkest night.
