Seeress from the Völuspá

A völva or “wand bearer” is a woman who practices seiðr (magic) and possesses powerful abilities including prophecy. One such völva is the central figure in the poem, Völuspá (Prophecy of the Seeress) wherein Oðin summons a deceased völva from her grave to tell him about the past and future. Her response provides a comprehensive overview of Norse Myth from creation through Ragnarok and beyond.
