A jötunn king

Thrymr (who’s name means “noisy”) is a jötunn king who steals Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, and attempts to ransom it in exchange for Freyja’s hand in marriage. To get Mjolnir back, Thor dresses in a bridal gown and pretends to be the blushing bride. The ruse works and Thor is able to retrieve his hammer and slay Thrymr. The term jötunn is often mistranslated as “giant” but actually means “devourer.” Hence, a jötunn is not necessarily of great size.
