Goddess of archery & skiing
 
Skadi is associated with winter, mountains, bow hunting and skiiing. She first came to the gods of Asgard to demand compensation for the killing of her father (the jotunn, Thjazi). Amother other things, she was offered a husband - but she had to choose him only by his feet. Selecdting the cleanest feet she saw, she chose Njordr, god of seafaring. The marriage was ill-fated as Skadi had no love of the sea and Njordr could not bear life in the mountains.
