Watchman of the gods
 
Born of nine mothers,Heimdallr is the watchman of Bifrost (the Rainbow Bridge), the passage between Asgard and Midgard. Heimdallr's senses are so keen, that nothing can approach him without his foreknowledge, he can see for a hundred miles even in darkest night and can hear the grass growing in Midgard. He carries with him the mighty Gjallarhorn, a massive horn that he will sound only once at the onset of Ragnarok to alert the gods that the final battle is upon them. He also carries the sword named Hǫfuð.
