Quick Facts

Who We Are:
Founded in 1997 in Chicago's western suburbs, Stone Soup is an interpretive communications company that specializes in telling the diverse stories of interpretive groups, non-profits and corporations. Currently located in Hartland, Michigan, we strive to be accessible to large organizations and small; to those that have been communicating with their audience(s) for years and those just getting started.

Stone Soup Communications is 50 percent woman-owned and operated, is classified as a small business, and is a division of The Jorn Group, Ltd.

What We Do:
Stone Soup Communications offers a host of creative services including writing and design, Web development, audio and video production, as well as a variety of planning and consulting services.

Of Note:
Stone Soup's Creative Director is the former Chair of the National Association for Interpretation's Visual Communications Section, a section of the association devoted to enhancing the quality of interpretive communications internationally; Stone Soup's Director of Communications chaired the committee responsible for NAI's 2003 Media Awards competition, an annual event that evaluates and recognizes excellence in creative interpretation by the organizations that comprise the association's membership.

Stone Soup Communications is a member of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Pro-bono Outreach Efforts:
The Stone Soup Storyteller
In an effort to educate, inspire and liberate the interpretive field, Stone Soup Communications produces The Stone Soup Storyteller, a free online publication available on www.jorn.com that is designed to foster networking and communication between interpreters.

Soup Kitchen
When it is in a financial and scheduling position to do so, Stone Soup Communications offers the Soup Kitchen - a program whereby SSC provides services at a greatly reduced rate. The Soup Kitchen was recently launched to help raise the level of excellence in communication in the nonprofit arena, allow nonprofit clients to realize projects that they could not otherwise afford, and to further our own company's mission.
