THE ASPIRING ACTOR: This program introduces basic theatrical principles including fundamental rules of the stage, dramatic reading and audition techniques. It will also arm the aspiring actor with theatrical terms and a basic sense for what constitutes "good" acting. Average readiness level: Age 10 and up (see policies for more age information)

THE DEVELOPING ACTOR: This program builds on fundamental theatrical principles including audition techniques, rules of the stage, dramatic reading and character development, and introduces the use of space and props. It further focuses on the interaction between actors as well as the principles of projection, pronounciation, pace and pauses that can make the difference between standing on stage and sitting in the audience. Average readiness level: Age 12 and up (see policies for more age information)

PRIVATE COACHING: Designed to help aspiring actors identify and overcome their weaknesses and build on strengths to emerge as a fully rounded actor while working at their own pace. Private coaching also allows students to learn the fundamentals of stage work and build self-confidence before having to audition in front of other people. Private lessons only. Average readiness level: Age 12 and up (see policies for more age information)



LESSON INFORMATION:
All lessons are once per week for 1 hour.
Private or semi-private* lessons available
for most programs.
To register, complete the registration form.

* Semi-private lessons available subject to enrollment of multiple students for a given class.

2007 RATES:
Instructor's home:
$28 per lesson (private)
$20 per lesson (semi-private, 2-4 students)

Student's home:
No extra charge for lesson at student's home within the Hartland Estates and San Marino subdivisions

Add $5 to the above for lessons at student's home within 10 mile radius of instructor's home excluding Hartland Estates and San Marino subdivisions

For distances beyond 10 miles of the instructor's home, please call or email for cost.
